More about Anna Ludlow:

Originally hailing from Nova Scotia, Anna Ludlow has become a crowd favourite in Ottawa, performing at the Festival of Small Halls Ontario, Almonte Celtfest and Ottawas own Bluesfest. She has performed many times on Parliament Hill, both as part of National Fiddling Day, as well as for Canada Day celebrations. Her album Reel to Reel drew nominations from both the East Coast Music Association as well as from Music Nova Scotia.  In a few short weeks, Anna Ludlow will be starring as the lead fiddle player in the Broadway musical hit - Come From Away as it begins its year-long run in Toronto, Ontario.

Anna's performance is a description of the lively spirit of Maritime culture. Her music shares the stories of its rich and diverse history, all the while melding the tunes with a contemporary spin, making it new and fresh for todays generation.

She will be accompanied by touring Celtic & Jazz pianist  Tyson Chen. He studied classical and popular music in Ottawa, where he grew up. In recent years, he has lived and breathed Celtic music in the heart of Cape Breton where he has become a popular piano accompanist among fiddlers. He has also recently explored the world of jazz music and is currently studying jazz and Celtic piano in Ottawa.

Ross Davison is a multi-instrumentalist, teacher, and performer.

Ross began his musical life as a saxophonist, and quickly added Highland Bagpipes, Uilleann Bagpipes, and Tin Whistle to his arsenal of instruments.

As a Highland Bagpiper, Ross currently plays with the Grade 1, Ottawa Police Services Pipes and Drums, a prize-winning ensemble that has secured top placings at piping competitions throughout North America.

He is a former Pipe Major of the Glengarry Pipe Band which he developed from a Grade 5 into a Grade 3 ensemble and led to a 6th place finish at the World Pipe Band Championships held in Glasgow in 2013.  He is a Grade 1 soloist and competes at the Senior Amateur level in Piobaireachd.

Ross is an accomplished Uilleann Piper.  He has gold medals from the Great Lakes Feis and the Oireachtas Gaeilge Cheanada.
He has researched the playing styles of Paddy Keenan, Jerry OSullivan, and Blackie OConnell and negotiated a residency learning the craft of uilleann pipe and reed making with Bruce Childress.

The Sons of Scotland Pipe Band

Canada's oldest Civilian Pipe Band, founded in 1896.  They are the first Pipe Band to be heard in the Nation's capital on Burns night, January 25,1896.
Under the direction of Pipe Major Bethany Bisaillion, the Sons of Scotland compete at all the local Highland Games and perform in some 50 concerts and parades throughout the year. We are committed to developing the talent of each of our members, producing quality music, and having a great deal of fun. More info may be found at .

The Celtic Cross Dancers is a group of Ottawa dancers who perform a mix of traditional and contemporary choreographies.

With decades of experience in Highland, Irish, and Ottawa Valley Step dancing as teachers, performers, competitors, and choreographers, Celtic Cross members have performed for Irish ambassadors, British high commissioners, and members of the Royal Family; have shared the stage with the likes of Ashley MacIsaac, the Kitchener-Waterloo Symphony Orchestra, the Sons of Scotland, Ottawa Police, and Royal Canadian Mounted Police Pipe Bands, and with countless Celtic bands including Jiggs Boson, the Lyon Street Celtic Band, Occasional Pudding, and the Rockwood Ceilidh Project; have appeared on CTV, City TV, and other networks; and have performed and competed across Europe and North America.

Celtic Cross shows are a lively blend of all three dance styles and are a mix of traditional solo and group dances as well as original choreographies. The groups repertoire is suited to any venue or event from festivals to pubs to live concerts to wedding receptions and anything in between.
